The Gretsch Black Top Filter'Tron dual-coil pickups create an incredibly rich tone, with a high output and plenty of vintage warmth. The two coils work together to filter out Hum, Neon Noises, Crackle and Electrical Disturbance. Although Gibson registered the patent first, Gretsch Filter'Tron humbuckers actually pre-date the first Gibson models and their pioneering designs have graced the biggest stages in the hands of greats like Chet Atkins. These pickups were introduced at Summer Namm in 1957 and their distinctive tone is so smooth that they are still amongst the greatest models available!
